Tried a start-up idea in college? Failed? And now, are too far down the rabbit hole to find meaning in a traditional post-college job? Well, you’re in luck!

Wiom announces its “Apprentice Entrepreneur-in-Residence Program”, in its hunt for that rare 0.0000000001% breed of counter-intuitive dreamers, who thrive at the intersection of new age technology and entrepreneurship.

What is Wiom Labs?

The Labs team at Wiom, aspires to be the futuristic brain of Wiom, and is obsessed with:

  • Staying on top of the best “free and open source” technologies, 
  • Refining business hypothesis pursuant to first principles thinking, 
  • Driving the application of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning across Wiom’s operations, and 
  • Lastly (but perhaps, most importantly) maintaining a total HARDCORE execution culture. 

We are not a good fit for default-pessimists, or the faint of heart.

What Does NOT Matter to Us

  • Your grades
  • Your college attendance
  • Whether you actually have a degree or not
  • Whether you like pineapples on your pizza or not
  • Whether you shower daily or not (as long as you invest in good cologne )

What Matters to Us

  • Must have a deep interest in the internet and nuances of how it works , how it came to be, and where it is going. Ideally, those applying should, now and then, wake up at 3 AM sweating (profusely) while pondering upon AGI and the future of the internet!
  • Must demonstrate a good deal of tempered neuroticism – either by excelling in sports or by having a swing at executing a “start-up” idea
  • Must know the basics of at least one of the following: Python, SQL, or JavaScript. Your CV should include links to YouTube tutorial videos, Udemy courses, etc., which you have completed to learn these skills. Links to projects/ landing pages of startups launched would also be helpful.
  • Must be willing to relocate within 3 km of the Wiom Gurgaon office. The commute is a waste of ‘coding energy’.
  • Must be addicted to listening to hours and hours of start-up podcasts regularly. This is our way of gauging a “vibe-fit”.
  • Must be a natural morning person , teetotaler , non-smoker , and addicted to at least an hour of intense workouts in the morning.
  • Must love free and open source technologies, and HATE windows operating systems (and other proprietary software) from the bottom of their heart.
  • Must be willing to kill off their current start up, before joining us for this “apprenticeship”. An apprenticeship implies no moonlighting.

Salary Expectations, Office Address & Work Timings

The vacancy is for a full-time job at the entry level position. The pay is DEFINITELY higher than most entry level law jobs of your stream.

Timings

Work timings are from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
